Seeing kids excited about Jesus and helping families talking about Him together.
Berry Anglican Church is built around a simple concept: Jesus is our hero. Each Sunday, your child will learn the Bible and how it relates to Jesus in an age-appropriate way. The lessons are fun and approachable and taught by committed volunteers and staff who serve Jesus by serving you and your kids. We also seek to help equip parents to train their children in the gospel, as we partner together and include you in what happens each week. Ultimately, our goal is to get kids excited about Jesus and to get families talking about Jesus together throughout the week.

What to Expect
It’s helpful to know what to expect. We all meet together in the Church so head on in there first. We’d love to meet you, and introduce your kids to their leaders to help them feel more conforatable about heading off to Kids Church. You can grab one of the volunteers serving and they’ll be more than happy to point you to one of the leaders or another parent. After a couple of song and a special kids spot, the kids will be taken by one of the leaders over to the hall for their lesson together. Feel free to accompany them over if that helps.
During the lesson they will have an interactive story time, age specific crafts and activities, and a chance to have fun as kids together.
After church you can pick your child up from the hall, where there will be tea and coffee for you, and some good stuff for the kids too!
Should you ever have questions, any member of our staff or our volunteers will be happy to help you! Also, if you have questions about Berry Kids before attending a service, you can always contact us to find answers to those questions.

Our family just loves the work of Berry Kids at St. Luke’s. Our family has been a part of the kids ministries for 8 years now and I am truly grateful for the encouragement and support they have been given over the years. It has made our time at St Luke’s very special.

Generation of helpers
Ministry to children and young people is vibrant and exciting work, and also greatly significant to the life of the church. Teaching children and youth about Jesus is kingdom work. It is a service to the children and youth, the church family, and to God himself that offers great opportunities, but also carries significant responsibilities for the wellbeing of the children and young people in our care. If we as a church take the teaching and leadership of children and young people seriously then we must do all we can to provide an environment that is safe from any form of harm.
Berry Anglican Church partners with Safe Ministry Training to ensure all our leaders and volunteers are screened and trained to ensure a safe environment. For more information, you can head to safeministry.org.au or speak to our leadership team.
